The Middle East is well-positioned to lead the low-carbon hydrogen economy as a major producer and exporter to Europe and Northeast Asia. However, effective national strategies and comprehensive regulatory frameworks are essential to realize this potential. In this report, we examine the key enablers for the low-carbon hydrogen market in the Middle East, address challenges that could impede progress, and provide an up-to-date overview of the region’s hydrogen projects, announced bilateral agreements, key market players, and climate goals.
